Who are we ………..
The North Horsham Community Land Trust was established in 2020 by Working Party that comprised of members of the Parish Council and local residents. The aim of the trust is to provide truly affordable rented housing for people who live and work in Horsham. Guidance on policy and process was given by the Sussex Community Housing Hub.
The Trust was subsequently registered as a Community Benefit Society and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As a Trust we are also registered as a Company that is ‘Limited by Guarantee’ and listed with Companies House which also requires us to be registered with HMRC for Corporation Tax requirements.
Although we were established in 2020 just before the COVID outbreak we effectively did not start operating until 2023.
The Trust is currently run by 3 Directors, one of which is the Chairperson, we also have two volunteers, one of which is our Treasurer and the other is our Website and Software Administrator.
